Nigel Broom

Nigel has been advising in the financial industry since 1989 and has been at Smith & Pinching Financial Services Ltd since 2003.

His qualifications include Financial Planning Certificate, Advanced Certificate of Mortgage Advice & Practice, Certificate of Home Reversion, Certificate of Regulated Equity Release and Certificate of Lifetime Mortgages. He seeks to add to his qualifications whenever feasible.

Since being made Associate Director of Smith & Pinching Financial Services Ltd three years ago he continues to advise on all mortgage and equity release products which include any protection plans that run alongside the advised mortgage. Nigel advises on all aspects of the mortgage business, but specialises in finding solutions for high net worth individuals, company directors and self-employed.

Diane Fish

Diane has been with Smith & Pinching Financial Services Ltd in a mortgage advisory role for three years but has been with the company for over ten.

Diane’s qualifications include the Financial Planning Certificate, the Advanced Certificate of Mortgage Advice & Practice and the Certificate in Lifetime Mortgages & Home Reversion Plans and Long Term Care Planning.  She has an extensive network of professional connections, including solicitors, accountants and conveyancing teams.  She takes a special interest in matrimonial and collaborative law matters around mortgage lending.

Melanie Lambert

Melanie is the PA and Mortgage Administrator for all of our mortgage consultants. She has been in the mortgage administration profession since 2000 and is responsible for the processing and administration of all our mortgage applications from submission through to completion.

Melanie's job involves liaising with all parties concerned with the application from the clients to mortgage lenders and solicitors. In addition to this she also does the quotations and processing of mortgage-related products such as life cover and mortgage protection.

Equity release, home reversion plans and lifetime mortgage are complex products and you should request personalised information.

Think carefully before securing other debts against your home or property, as it essentially becomes security for those debts and may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage. If you transfer a relatively short term debt to a longer term, you may pay back more interest in total.

Your initial consultation is free, but subsequent research and advice are subject to a £250 initial fee (mortgage business) or a £500 initial fee (equity release, home reversion and lifetime mortgage business). We receive a procuration fee from the lender or company for placing the business, but you can choose to pay us a fee instead and offset the initial fee.
